Weather: Cloudy then sunny

Distance Covered:

Theyr forecast F4 dropping off in the afternoon. Windguru had F3/4 dropping off early pm. Sailed comfortably powered on 8.2m for an hour from 11 o'clock. Gybing quite difficult as huge effort required to open sail against apparent wind. Managed a couple of gybes where sail flipped smoothly and almost planing on exit, but no consistency. I may be oversheeting on the entry. Try opening sail earlier. Keep some distance form the rig.

Wind picked up after lunch contrary to forecast. Stuck with 8.2 as expected to drop off. Took quite a hammering blasting over the chop. People arriving through the afternoon and rigging 6m on 90 litre boards were planing comfortably in the lengthy gusts.

Should have changed down, but great to be out in sunny windy conditions.
